Ready For Defense

HAPPY NEW YEAR! There is a multitude of emotions as we begin the New Year and we start all over again, renew our dreams, desires of reconciliation, to be able to bring Christ to the lost. Some people are back to work today and there are some of us are off till tomorrow; my thoughts this morning follow below:

I never fully understood this verse: How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Then I heard John Paul Jackson teach about Peace:

Peace is more a verb than a noun. We have been accustomed to think of peace as some foo-foo word that is ethereal and is only a wish/prayer away; but what Jesus did in his earthly ministry and his obedience of the cross? He destroyed the anarchy and chaos around him and the result is peace.

When we say “peace” to others or say, “Peace” over ourselves, we are really saying, “the anarchy, chaos, anxiety, tumult around me/you be destroyed” which brings peace.

Jesus is “The Prince of Peace”: which means he is/has the highest ability to destroy the anarchy, anxiety, chaos, tumult, and as a believer he lives in us and we have that ability too!

In scripture it says we will soon crush Satan, when the enemy is crushed there is peace. How do we defeat the enemy?

With our FEET!

Clothed with the full armor of God each piece is important because they work together for Kingdom business; our feet covered/equipped with the Gospel of Peace! Every step you take the Lord will give you. Where there is peace the darkness is pushed back, the light of his presence reigns, and we are healed, provided, comforted, and loved and more…

Hallelujah! Amen!

The New Year has begun with the hope of peace will finally reign. It is not something we wait for; it is also something we do and that is to bring peace in our area of influence.

Inspired: Romans 10:14-15Isaiah 9:6Deuteronomy 11:24Joshua 1:3,

Ephesians 6:15Romans 16:20James 1:22-25

As your week begins, do not forget to put your shoes on and take the kingdom back and Praise God for he is good and his love and mercy endures forever! May this be the year God’s people will take a stand for the Kingdom!
