My Holy Bible for Girls, Journal Edition by Zondervan

This Bible is a no-frills Bible. There are no study notes. There is no concordance. However, there are wide two-inch margins that are perfect for journaling. The pages are thick enough without worry about bleed through with colored pencils and pens. The cover is a beautiful pink and orange floral. The marketing materials on this Bible say that it is for girls, implying it is for children and teens to journal with, but there is nothing girlish about the Bible. This would be an excellent Bible for a young woman or teenager, but it would also make an excellent Bible for an adult to use for Bible journaling.

This Bible designed to encourage the reader to journal thoughts and notes along the sides of each page in spacious lined margins. With the increased popularity of Bible journaling, the NIV Holy Bible for Girls is the perfect starting place for those just getting beginning this special spiritual discipline. Girls of all ages will enjoy this pretty Bible, but most especially ages 8-18. The New International Version (NIV) of the Holy Bible is easy to read and understand and will allow readers to grasp the concept of God’s Holy Word.

Features of the Bible include:
Beautifully designed hardcover
Presentation page
How to Use This Bible instruction page
Elastic closure strap
Wide-lined margins for journaling notes, or drawing
Thicker paper perfect for use with markers and pens
Ribbon marker

Easy to read
Weights and Measures chart
Has a presentation page
Easy to understand New International Version

I recommend this bible especially for who like to journal and those who would like to start. There is nothing juvenile or little girl about this wonderful journaling Bible. It is a hardcover with an elastic closure.  A good bible to read and study God’s word.

I received a copy of bible from Handlebar Publishing and Zondervan for my review.

  1. These type of Bibles, with margins for coloring, are also becoming popular with adults. Thank you for sharing this review on this particular bible. I have only recently become aware of these. If it helps to engage our love for the Lord…then more power to it!

  2. I have noticed that you do a lot of book reviews. How does one become a book reviewer?
