God’s Masterpiece

For we are God’s Masterpiece. He has created us new in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10

I love this verse, it is one of my live verses, in some studies, Masterpiece means poetry, a work of art.

How can we think of ourselves as a masterpiece: the definition “an artist’s or craftsman best piece of work. A work is done with extraordinary skill. A masterpiece is something that is done that is so unique that it cannot be duplicated. There are some especially gifted that can have more than one masterpiece in them. Most artists are lucky to have one their entire lifetime. When you ask an artist how he or she did it they proceed to tell, in one degree or another, that something inside of them just wanted to come out. A part of them is in the completed product.  Be it music, poetry, or any other created venture, a design was deep down waiting for an expression to manifest. So how can we, each one of us, be a masterpiece?

Scripture says that we are created in his image. Genesis 1:27 When God created you, a piece of Him is in you, which makes you unique and special and only you can demonstrate God’s love in the unique way He made you. Only you can bring those qualities God has given to you in your own distinct way.  That is why two people can have the gift of mercy and one will become a nurse and nurture her patients. Another one will write encouraging words to people who need comfort and bring life into their situation. Both are right in the way they use God’s gift to bring people a better understanding of who God is in them. Galatians 1:15, Isaiah 44:24

What are some of the ways you use to show God’ love?
