Morning declaration: The Lord is my revelation – light to guide me along the way; He is the source of my salvation to defend me every day.

I was reading an article on NatGeo regarding the white-throated sparrow. (pictured below) It was discovered that this songbird has changed its tune and was singing a new song. This amazed the experts; Troy Brewer said that if you are listening for what God is saying you might hear him say remember in my word, I value the small things no one else notices. This sparrow has a “white throat” which has to do with the voice and the color white is pure. So, what if the Lord is saying it is time to Sing a New Song! To use your voice in ways you haven’t yet. When the enemy tries to silence you maybe that is a hint that God is wanting to hear you cry out all the more in a new song. What other things happening in the natural that the Father might be speaking to us. I noticed that a white beluga whale was seen swimming along the California coast. Could there be something to this unusual sighting?

I listen for the whispers of the Father’s heart:

Give me your time and I will strengthen you. Stay with me and sit in my presence and I will remind you of my promises. Trust in me and not in the affirmation of others. I am not intimidated by barrenness or destruction. I love to hover over broken places, weaving my life back into them. Let my love soar over the unrest, violence, and sickness, and I will bring healing. Let me sing and delight over your dry places.

I’ll never turn back and run from you, Lord; surround and protect me. I know that you are there for me, so I will not be shaken. Here’s the one thing I crave, the one thing I seek above all else:
I want the privilege of living with you every moment in your house, gazing into the sweet loveliness of your face, filled with awe, delighting in your glory and grace. I want to live my life so close to you that you take pleasure in my every prayer. You have smuggled me into the secret place, where I’m kept safe and secure—out of reach from all my enemies. Triumphant now, I’ll bring my offerings of praise, singing, and shouting with ecstatic joy!
