Morning declaration: I will proclaim the Good News!
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, freedom for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!’ I have come to share the message of Jubilee , for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun. Luke 4:18

During a conversation with friends, we talked about “greater works you will do” and what that might look like and how come we do not see it as often as we would like. We  desire to see God intervene in our lives and those we pray for. We long for the manifestation of God’s glory to come. After much thought I wrote this not as an attempt to answer the question but to write what God is whispering to me – hopefully it makes sense.

Anticipation: a feeling of excitement about something that is going to happen
Expectation: a belief that something will happen or likely to happen

So maybe we could say that faith is (the feeling of) anticipation after (belief-knowing) expecting  the promise of God to manifest

All creation groans waiting for the sons and daughters of God to stand, waiting for the GOD of the universe to manifest His glory. Just like the desert is barren and in a moment the rains come and it is teaming with life. In the Spirit it is the same; in a moment, in the fullness of time the Spirit rains down and brings new life and we will see the manifestation of God’s glory.  Working through us to draw those that hunger and thirst to the Father. Anticipation is key in this new season.  The Lord’s people will be refreshed, renewed, and restored and then they will be prepared for the second outpouring of rain that will bring new sons and daughters into the Kingdom.

Many years ago, I met a successful Jewish man and he was asked the secret to his prosperity.  He said the secret is because he was Jewish he cannot fail. I thought,” hmm… I want to be Jewish” Holy Spirit reminded me that I am already a covenant child of the Most High GOD! I also can claim the promises in the bible. God says:  If I set my mind on the things above and not the surrounding chaos I will see and hear the leading of the Holy Spirit to follow the solutions and directions I need, not only for myself but for those that He sends my way.

A year ago, or so, a ‘tornado” came into my office creating disaster and leaving debris scattered and wounded people in the midst. I thought Lord… what am I to do? I believe I heard His whisper: The storms will come and if we focus on the storm we will only see the devastation it can bring. But if we learn to see the “peace” of God is within us, we will see above and beyond the storm’s devastation.  We will see the garbage that comes up so it can be cleared away, things like gossip, pessimism, sour attitudes, racism, corruption, etc., and God will replace it with peace, joy, truth and justice, and we will see the treasures God is releasing to us in this season and it will come quickly. I am still learning what treasures may come of this particular storm.

If you thirst and hunger after righteousness and you desire to see the miraculous happen, remember these things: God is your source -not your bank, your family, government, career, and health. Get a point of contact: something you do to release your faith ex: raise your hands, raise your voice of praise to God, speaking the words of God out loud, feed the hungry, clothe the naked; do an action that extends the kingdom.

Expect and anticipate a miracle: stand in faith and believe today! And believe something good is about to happen! God is good! Revelation is coming and it will make you happy!

Romans 8:18-21   John 14:12 Colossians 3:2 Isaiah 55:11 Jeremiah 31:12-14

As you begin the first week of the new year, know this: storms will come and go, set your mind on the promise of God before you.
